PROGRAMMING
We promote Personal Growth Friendship Independence Fun
Our programs focus on abilities while encouraging people to attain their highest level of independent leisure functioning by increasing leisure skills, improving social skills, increasing independence and increasing their awareness of and involvement in community recreational activities.
WHO WE SERVE
We welcome folks with all types of disabilities ages 14 and up to join our programs.
(Sports training starts at 5 years and older).
OUR STAFF
TRS is staffed by 2 full-time employees, several part-time program staff and a large number of dedicated volunteers.
TRS programs operate with a 1:6 staff-to-participant ratio.

Please keep in mind that most programs fill up quickly and have a waiting list.
TRS utilizes volunteers who provide over 6,000 hours of community service each year. Volunteers come from CSU Sacramento, local high schools, community members, families and friends.
We could not provide the outstanding array of services that we do without the valuable help of our many volunteers. Volunteers are an essential part of TRS programs. Our volunteers assist with office tasks, coaching our Special Olympics team, staffing programs and more.
